Evaporation Retarder – 20L

Evaporation Retarder prevents cracking in hot, dry weather while concrete is still being worked, a different job from Rockbond’s exposed aggregate retarders. Fresh concrete loses surface moisture fast in hot or windy conditions, and once it dries out before finishing is complete, plastic shrinkage cracks set in and can’t be undone. This retarder slows surface moisture loss while the crew is still placing and finishing the pour. It’s diluted 1 to 4 with water and applied at 10 square metres per litre once diluted. This is the 20L size. Concrete crews use it on hot, dry or windy days wherever the pour is at risk of drying out before finishing is done.
