Formwork Z Bar – 15mm x 3000mm

Formwork Z Bar 15mm x 3000mm is a 3 metre length of 15mm threaded tie bar for concrete wall formwork. The bar ties the two faces of a wall form together so they hold their spacing against the pressure of wet concrete.

The bar carries a continuous thread along its length. Plate nuts, wing nuts and flange plates thread onto the bar and clamp the form faces. The long 3000mm length can be cut to the wall thickness the job needs, with the left-over length used on the next wall. One bar weighs about 4.6kg.

Powerpac also stocks the Z Bar plate nut, wing nut, flange plate, plate and joiner to complete the tie. Powerpac has not published the load rating for this bar, so get the tie spacing and the safe working load from the formwork designer. Builders also call this product a Z bar, a form tie bar or a tie rod.
