Z Bar Flange Plate 120x120x10mm, 20mm hole

The Z Bar Flange Plate 120x120x10mm is a square steel plate, 120mm by 120mm and 10mm thick, with a 20mm hole through the centre. The hole lets the 15mm Z bar pass through, and the plate spreads the nut’s clamping load across the form face. One plate weighs about 1kg.

Fit the plate on each end of the tie bar behind a nut. The wide 120mm face protects the timber or ply from being crushed when the tie is tightened. Powerpac also stocks the Z bar in a 15mm x 3000mm length, along with the plate nut, wing nut and joiner.

Powerpac has not published the steel grade or the load rating for this plate, so get the safe working load from the formwork designer.
