Knipex 280mm Wide Head Steel Nips

Knipex Wide Head Steel Nips cut and twist tie wire and binding wire on rebar and formwork jobs. A nipper that’s too light in the head glazes over on hardened wire and needs constant resharpening, slowing down repetitive tying work. These nips are forged from high-grade special tool steel and multi-stage oil-hardened, with cutting edges additionally hardened to approximately 61 HRC so they hold an edge through both soft and hard wire. The head is polished and the body finished in black atramentized steel, while plastic-coated handles keep grip comfortable through a full day of tying. At 280mm, the longer handles give more leverage for cutting thicker or hardened wire than the compact 180mm size. Steel fixers and concreters use it for cutting and twisting tie wire on rebar cages and formwork.
