Galvanised Tie Wire 400mm – 1kg Bundle

Galvanised Tie Wire is 1.6mm zinc-coated wire cut to 400mm lengths for tying reinforcing bar intersections by hand. Loose rebar shifts during a concrete pour, throwing cover depth and bar spacing out before the pour even starts. Twisting a length of tie wire around each intersection locks the cage together so it holds its position under wet concrete and foot traffic. The galvanised coating gives it extra corrosion resistance over standard black tie wire, useful where cages sit exposed to the weather before a pour or where the finished concrete surface will be exposed. Each 1kg bundle holds enough wire for tying a typical cage, and 20 bundles come to a carton for restocking a site store. Steel fixers and concreters use it on exposed structures, coastal work, and any job calling for extra corrosion protection at the tie points.
