Cemix General Purpose Cement 20kg

Cemix General Purpose Cement is a Portland cement for civil, commercial, industrial, and residential concrete and mortar work, complying with NZS 3122:2009. Getting a mix wrong at the cement stage carries through the whole pour, and general purpose cement gives a predictable base to build standard mix ratios from rather than working around a specialty blend. It’s supplied in a 20kg bag for mixing with sand and aggregate on site at standard volume ratios. Once poured, the concrete needs at least 28 days of curing to reach its design strength, and foot or vehicle traffic should stay off it for at least 7 days. Minimising water loss during curing helps the mix reach its maximum compressive strength, and sealers shouldn’t go on for the full 28-day cure. Concreters and builders use it as the standard cement for site-mixed concrete and mortar across civil, commercial, and residential jobs.
