Description
Site Enviro Silt Dewatering Bag – 1.2m x 1.2m filters sediment-laden water pumped off a construction or civil site, so what discharges is clean rather than silt-loaded runoff. Pumping excavation or dewatering water straight onto the ground or into a drain carries silt and heavy particles with it, polluting waterways and risking a breach of resource consent conditions. This bag is manufactured from strong, non-woven geotextile that lets water filter freely through the fabric while retaining solids inside, with a 100mm diameter hose inlet as standard for connecting straight to a dewatering pump. It filters at a flow rate of around 80 litres per square metre per second, though this varies with usage and how loaded the bag becomes. At 1.2m x 1.2m and 3.1kg, it suits pumping jobs on construction and mining sites needing sediment filtered out of dewatering discharge before it reaches the ground or a drain.
