Site Enviro – Turbidity Silt Curtain 1m H x 25m L

Turbidity Silt Curtain 1m H x 25m L contains sediment stirred up by marine construction work, so it doesn’t spread through the surrounding water. Piling, dredging or other in-water work disturbs the seabed, and without a barrier that sediment plume drifts well beyond the construction zone, affecting water clarity and marine life, and risking a breach of resource consent conditions. This curtain floats on a buoyant collar at the surface with a weighted skirt hanging down to contain the sediment plume within the construction zone, and connects end to end with adjoining sections to form a continuous barrier across open water. Each curtain measures 1m deep by 25m long and weighs 25kg, suiting shallower work than Powerpac’s 2m deep curtain (6171-STC225). Marine construction crews use it around piling, dredging and other waterway work to keep sediment contained and stay within resource consent requirements.
