SmartBlock – Concrete Block 180 x 60 x 60 – Step Mould

SmartBlock Step Mould 1800 casts a staircase profile directly into a longer concrete block, rather than building steps separately once the wall or retaining structure is in. Forming steps with conventional formwork means extra setup and extra pours, and retrofitting steps onto an existing block structure is slower again. This steel mould uses a staircase model divider insert to cast a stepped profile into a 1800mm x 600mm x 600mm block in one pour, with a concave base that keys into the block below it. Built from steel with a chamfered edge for a tidy finish, each mould weighs 235kg and casts a 0.55m³ block. Sites and concrete yards use the longer length to cover more of a stepped run in fewer blocks.
